For Spring 2014 Zoya added some more textured polishes to their Pixie Dust range. I picked up Lux which is described as a rose quartz. This has quite big holo hex glitter in it which makes it so sparkly! At first I thought that would result in an extremely gritty and lumpy finish. Yes, it’s more gritty than the other Pixie Dust shades but it’s definitely not lumpy. I used two thin coats for the pictures. Do you have polishes from the new Pixie Dust range? Which one is your favorite?
P2 added two more polishes to their Sand Style range. One of them is Dreamy, which was a gift from my sweet girl Luchessa. Thanks sweetheart! This is gorgeous! What a fantastic color! This is two easy coats of Dreamy, no top coat. Lovely! It is a hard color to capture on camera though. It’s more sparkly in real life!I’m curious to find out how this one compares to Seahorsin’ Around by China Glaze. In the bottle they do look similar. I’ll let you guys know my thoughts about that as soon as I tried Seahorsin’ Around.
Back at the end of last year Essence came with three textured polishes (which are still patiently waiting in my untrieds pile… shame on me!), as known as the Sparkle Sand Effect line. Recently they added a few more textured polishes. One of them is Hello Rosy, a sort of vintage pink hue packed with matte pink glitter. I especially like this one for it’s unique color. I used two coats, no top coat. Formula is okay, not perfect but definitely nothing to complain about. I did a quick swatch with last years red polish from this line and this one dries faster. What do you think of this one?
And the love for textured polishes continues…
A huge thanks to Soraya for sending me Pink Sprinkle from the Sugar Coat Collection by Sally Hansen!I used three thin coats for the photo above. This has a jelly-isch base with matte textured finish. It has a tiny bit of golden shimmer. I’m a fan of this gorgeous cranberry color. Perfect for Summer 😀
In previous post I’ve showed you the Holomania polishes (holographic) and the Chameleonpolishes (duo chrome) from Catrice‘s Luxury Lacquers. Today I’d like to show you the eight Sand’ Sation polishes, which all have a textured finish. Instead of eight separate swatches I’ve created a little nail art with them. If you’d like to see (some of) them separately, let me know 😉 Continue reading →
Rimmel London has recently released another collection with five textured polishes called Sweetie Crush. They’re all soft/pastel shades and perfect for Spring/Summer. These look so cute together that I decided to use them all for one mani:
