El Corazon: 423-12 – Shimmer

Hi guys!

For all of you that also follow me on Instagram and have seen the picture of the worst-nail-break-ever… it has got to the point that I needed to cut it down with the result that it is now an ultra nubbin *sad face*. I feel like ET for some reason ūüė¶
I have deleted the photo due to the high gross factor (bloody and stuff).

I rarely break a nail and if so, it’s often just a corner. The nail on my index (of my Cinderella hand, thank goodness) had broken on the nail bed. You can imagine how much that hurts. Ugh!
Anyway I just wanted to say thanks for all your sweet comments!

Moving on to today’s polish… 423-12 is part of the Shimmer Collection by El Corazon. The shimmer in this is so fine that it gives the polish a stunning glow. The color remninds me of watermelons. It’s so juicy and squishy. The formula is lovely and a party to work with. This is three thin coats plus top coat:el corazon - 423-12 shimmerel corazon - 423-12 shimmer1

El Corazon: 239 – Impression Collection

Have you always wanted a nude polish with silver shimmer? 239 from the Impression Collection by El Corazon might be what you’re looking for.¬†el corazon - 239 impressionThis is a beige toned nude hue packed with silver shimmer. The shimmer is more noticeable and even prettier in real life. Although you could get away with two coats I used three thin coats instead. I added two butterfly water decals, also by El Corazon, on my accent nail. These water decals are a little more difficult to work with than I’m used to. I think that’s because they seem thicker and therefore have the tendency to not lay flat on the nail (wrinkles). A little tip that I found makes it easier to apply is to gently dab on the decal with a wet finger. That way you can smoothen it out. Also, this particular design is holographic! It is gorgeous but I think that my top coat has eaten the holo effect. Boo! So now they are just silver which I think suits this polish nice.¬†el corazon - 239 impression1What do you think about this?

El Corazon: 423-11 – Shimmer

Hi lovelies!

Here’s 423-11 from the Shimmer Collection by El Corazon:el corazon - 423-11 shimmerWhat a gorgeous color, don’t you think? The formula is kind of jelly but packed with lots of gorgeous shimmer. It is on the sheer side but I actually really like that with this one. I used three very thin coats plus top coat. Also, it dries extremely shiney all by itself. so you really don’t need top coat for that reason. The shimmer is way more noticeable than my photo’s show. I think my camera get’s shy when it sees so much shimmer ūüôāel corazon - 423-11 shimmer1

What do you think of this one? Have you tried El Corazon’s polishes yet?

ANNY – Golden Roller Girls Collection – nail art

Yesterday I showed you my blue nail art design made with three polishes of¬†ANNY‘s¬†Golden¬†Roller Girls¬†Collection. Today I like to show you my gradient mani that I made with two of the duo chrome shades of this collection:anny - hot to handle - wild at heart

This is a gradient with Hot To Handle and Wild At Heart (tips), both extremely shimmery duo chrome shades. The color shift isn’t very noticeable on the nails but that doesn’t make them less pretty. The first coat of these is a little sheer but a second coat results in full coverage. I really like that ANNY came up with three chrome polishes. It’s a nice addition to their collection.
Swatches of this collection and the previous textured collection are coming soon ūüôāanny - hot to handle - wild at heart1Thanks for stopping by! :*

Mary, a red jelly-ish base with black, silver and red glitter. I’ve used two coats here.¬†shimmer mary
Jennifer, red, silver and blue multi sized glitter in a clear base. I’ve layered one easy flowing coat of Jennifer over a white base (Purity by Zoya).shimmer jennifer
Nichole, a clear base with blue, red and silver multi sized glitter. I’ve layered one coat of Nichole over black (China Glaze’s Liquid Leather).shimmer nichole
Jasmine, aqua marine, light blue and green glitter swimming in a clear base. Here I’ve layered one coat of Jasmine over a white base (Zoya’s Purity). I think this would look stunning when layered over a aqua blue base. shimmer jasmine
Eva, burgundy red with fine (silver) shimmer. I just LOVE this! It’s gorgeous. The super fine silver shimmer gives it so much depth. This can easily be worn on its own.¬†shimmer evaFINAL THOUGHTS:
Eva and Nichole are definitely my favorites of these five. The formula of all of these is great. Application went fine and smoothless. The density of all of them is fantastic! Mary was a bit chunky at first, but one coat of Seche Vite evened that out.
I used a peel-off base coat to make the removal easier. Therefore I can’t really tell how the removal goes with a regular base coat.
