piCture pOlish: frank-n-further & Columbia – Rocky Horror Collection

Hi beauties!

frank-n-further by piCture pOlish instantly became one of my favorite red polishes. This is a bright red crelly with a fantastic formula. It’s so glossy! For this mani I used two coats of frank-n-further and dabbed a little bit of Columbia, from the same collection of the tips of my nails.

piCture pOlish: Ultra Violence

Another collab shade by piCture pOlish and Michelle, a.k.a. Lab Muffin is Ultra Violence:picture polish - ultra violencepiCture pOlish describes Ultra Violence as follows:
“A jewel toned deep purple shimmer creme with shifting colours of magenta copper, purple glitters and dries textured on the nail”.

I had a hard time capturing this beauty on camera. Totally love this polish! The formula is perfect, as always. I used two coats plus top coat for my swatch above. picture polish - ultra violence bottleWhat do you think of this beauty?

piCture pOlish polishes are available via their website or check out the list of stockists here.

piCture pOlish: Tail Feather

As you might know piCture pOlish has teamed up again with some fantastic bloggers to create a range of lovely polishes. Because I absolutely love mint-y shades for Spring I couldn’t resist picking up Tail Feather, a collab shade with the talented Kayla Shevonne. It’s soft but somewhat bright at the same time… if that makes any sense. I used three thin coats plus top coat. Totally stunning for this time of the year, don’t you think?

This is one coat of Aurora over a black base. I topped it off with one coat of Seche Vite for extra shine and protection. picture polish - aurora3I love to take lots and lots of pictures of polishes like this. It has so many different faces. I even spotted gold/yellow in some angles! I don’t have to explain to you how much I adore this polish, do I? Formula wise: perfection, as always.

One more bottle shot to show you the awesome-ness… pure magic in a bottle:picture polish - aurora bottleKeep your eyes peeled for the re-stock girls (and guys)!

piCture pOlish: Imperial

So I scored another collaboration shade, Imperial by piCture pOlish and The Swatchaholic. Take a look at Imperial:
picture polish - imperial1What a gorgeous polish! It has a lovely shimmer and tiny gold glitter. Formula is great, as you’d expect from PP and it is a dream to apply. I’ve used two coats plus to coat for the photo above.

piCture pOlish: Super Styling + leggings

Hi everyone!

Today I have something exciting to share with you! The minute I’ve read that piCture pOlish was releasing their self designed leggings I knew I needed to get my hands on a pair. This collector’s edition just needed to be mine 😀 The leggings come with a bottle of Super Styling, inspired by the talented Sam from Fashion Polish.

Super Styling is such a gorgeous bright blue glitter polish. The glitter is very fine and therefore not rough to the touch. I’ve used two easy coats plus top coat here:picture-polish-super-stylingWhile adoring this after it was dry I thought this might be similar to OPI’s Absolutely Alice but it doesn’t. Absolutely Alice has also green/gold glitter in the mix while Super Styling doesn’t.

Here’s a pic of me rockin’ the fantastic leggings! It’s fantastic! And oh so comfy 😀pp-leggingsI got mine from Norway Nails. You can also get it at the piCture pOlish website here.
Note: I’m a petite woman and usually wear small sized leggings. This is a medium size and it fits perfectly! It’s stretchy and therefore so incredible comfy.

Tell me… what do you think of these leggings and polish?

piCture pOlish: Vampire

Happy Friday!

It’s that time again… Halloween inspired mani’s everywhere! I love it 😀 I kept mine simple. Vampire by piCture pOlish is a perfect vampy shade for Halloween. The formula is perfect. I used three thin coats here with no top coat. This polish is extremely shiny by itself! For my accent nail I chose Don’t Pretzel My Buttons by OPI as my base color. I made the ‘dripped blood’ with Vampire:piCture pOlish - VampireWhat’s your favorite design and polish for Halloween?

Happy polishing!

piCture pOlish: Paradise – Collaboration Shades

Now this is an amazing and unique polish! Liz from Liquid Jelly and piCture pOlish created this stunning collaboration shade: Paradisepicture polish paradise1picture polish paradiseParadise is an almost metallic base packed with fine duochrome shimmer that shifts from green to blue. The pink holographic glitter and the purple glitter make this polish very sparkly. The formula is great. I used two coats without top coat. In some lightning it appears to be a little textured because of the glitter. Appearances can be deceptive! The glitter settles nicely into the polish.

The pictures below are taken in direct sunlight.picture polish paradise bottleshotIt is so amazing to see how the colors and glitter are so perfect together. Lovely combination ha?!picture polish paradise - sun1picture polish paradise - sunOverall I really like this polish. I don’t think I have anything like this in my stash. What do you think?

Paradise is available at piCture pOlish, Llarowe and Pretty Polish.

piCture pOlish: O’Hara

Meet O’Hara, a bright red crelly packed with scattered holographic particles created by piCture pOlish.picture polish o'hara1
I really love everything about this polish. It has a fantastic formula and finish. I used two coats here without top coat. The pictures are taken in daylight… Look at the gorgeous particles in there! LOVE! picture polish o'hara

piCture pOlish: Monroe

“A classic Hollywood icon”… Monroepicture polish monroe1This stunning deep red jelly base with scattered holographic shimmer is called Monroe. What a fabulous name don’t you think? This was love at first sight. Three of my favorite things in one bottle, red, jelly and holo. The formula is perfect. Drying time is, like every jelly, average. I used two easy coats of Monroe plus top coat (Seche Vite). picture polish monroe

I have a few polishes in my stash from the same (scattered/glitter holo) family as Monroe, so I did a little comparison to see if there are similarities. Let’s take a look:comparisonNo dupes here! Monroe has the most similarities with OPI’s Extravagance. They both have a very fine holographic shimmer. Color wise: Monroe is a deep blood red while Extravagance is more a rich purple. Zoya’s Blaze is way brighter than Monroe. And Zoya’s Aurora has more holographic glitter instead of fine shimmer.

What do you think of Monroe?
