COMING SOON: OPI Oz The Great And Powerful

OPI announced the launch of¬†their spectacular soft shades inspired by the Disney movie “Oz The Great And Powerful“, including a new liquid sand shade!
image010Get ready for a trip where monkeys can fly, witches bewitch and a yellow path lead to the emerald city. The film tells the story of a relatively unknown illusionist who becomes the big powerful wizard of Oz.

OPI is super excited to begin the journey with Disney says Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “The magic of Oz The Great And Powerful is the inspiration. This SoftShades Collection consists of three spectacular glitter polishes, white, gold and silver. Also found in this collection are three soft transparent shades, white, beige and pink. The “nude” trend will continue in 2013! These shades are great for brides too.”

The revolutionary technology of the new Liquid Sand shade, What Wizardy is This?, creates a special texture and matte finish with reflective particles on your nails. This rich taupe shade is created for the personage of James Franco, The Great Wizard Of Oz, which guarantees a cheeky appearance this Spring.

To create an extra sparkling look you can layer one of the glitter polishes over one of the nude shades.

OPI The Man With The Golden Gun – James Bond Collection

Here’s the famous 18K gold leaf topcoat. I’m sure you’ve heard of it, right? The bottle is awesome -read: to die for-.I’ve used one coat over Die Another Day and Black Onyx, and then ‘dabbed’ more spots to get a even coverage. I think this one needs no more words. Just look at the beauty of it:

OPI Indulgence & Luxurious – Designer Series fall 2012

For fall 2012 OPI¬†added 2 more polishes to the Designer Series called Indulgence and Luxurious. As always the formula of both of these is fantastic and drytime very quick. For the swatches below I’ve used 2 coates.

Luxurious
A bright orange base with lots of golden shimmer. Lovable!

Indulgence
A bright berry red base with lots of golden shimmer.

OPI Morning, Moneypenny – James Bond Collection

Along with the 12 polishes¬†-which can be found here and here– and the golden leafed topcoat of the James Bond Collection OPI released 3 magnetic polishes called –Is That Silva, –Morning, Moneypenny and –Bond, James Bond.
I like to share with you Morning, Moneypenny, a gorgeous plum filled with fine glitter. I was surprised by the depth this polish has. Especially while the polish is still wet. It’s extremely shiny. I was also surpsised by the pattern the magnet has given this polish. On the package the pattern seems like stripes but surprisingly it turned out to be more wave-like. I’ve used two coats, as advised. The magnet is very easy to use. I really love this polish and would also like to have the other two magnetic polishes ūüėÄ Even without the pattern that the magnet gives, this polish is gorgeous!

See and judge for yourself ūüėČ

OPI James Bond Collection – part 2

Here’s the¬†second part of the James Bond Collection by OPI.
These are the warmer shades:

Die Another Day
A beautiful bright red with superfine shimmer. Application is very nice. Here I’ve used 2 coats.
The Spy Who Loved Me is a glass flecked red shimmer. In direct (sun)light you will see a beautiful golden shimmer. This is 2 coats:
You Only Live Twice
This is a magenta glass flecked shimmer. Formula is a bit on the thin side, but that doesn’t give any problems. I’ve used 2 coats here.
Casino Royale is a rich plum cream. Perfect for fall if you ask me. I’ve used 2 coats here.
Skyfall
This is a classic burgundy cream. Nice formula, and application was fine. This is two coats:
Goldeneye
This one doesn’t need so much words, right?. It’s gold in a bottle. A bit sheer, so I’ve used 3 coats to get full opacity.
Overall I love every single one of this collection. The formula of all is really fantastic!

OPI James Bond Collection – part 1

Finally… they’re here ūüôā Here’s the first part of the James Bond Collection by OPI.
Let’s jump right into the swatches:

Live and Let Die
A dark green with fine golden and green glitter. I think this is a real beauty for fall. I’ve used two coats here.
On Her Majesty’s Service is a charcoal with multicolored fine glitter. It’s quite sheer, so I’ve used 3 coats here.
The World Is Not Enough
This is a shimmery taupe which is also a bit sheer. Here I’ve used 3 coats. Lovely isn’t it?
Tomorrow Never Dies
This one was instant love. It’s a deep purple/indigo with blue undertones. Depending on the lighting it’s either very purple or more blue. A polish to love!
Moonraker is a silver chrome which reminds me a bit of foil. It’s a true beauty. It’s a little bit streaky but that¬†really doesn’t make it less beautiful. I’ve used 2 coats here. I think one thicker coat will give full opacity, but I prefer two thinner coats. ¬†
The Living Daylights
Silver, copper, gold and blue hexagon glitters swimming in a clear base. I really love this one. As with all glitter polishes this needed to be dabbed on the nails to get the right amount of hexagons on my nails.
Overall I love every single one of this collection. The formula of all is really fantastic!
