Is there such a color as midnight purple? If yes, Cabrón by Manglaze is exactly that. Totally loving this one! I used two coats here and added some top coat only on the tips of my nails. Using the sugar spun technique for this seemed like a fab idea for a change 🙂 It’s so easy to do and it looks quite cool, don’t you think? I used my last drops of HK Girl by Glisten & Glow and a small dotting tool for this. Top coat always thickens over time when it’s almost gone so I didn’t need to thicken it up much. This way the last drops of top coat get some love too, instead of getting thrown away. What do you think of this?
In the post where I showed you Fuck Off & Dye and Matte is Murder by ManGlaze I told you that I immediately fell in love with not only their matte polishes but also their awesome labels and polish names. So here I am again with two other ManGlaze’s!For this mani I used three coats of Mayonaisse as my base color. This is a matte white polish. It’s a little harder to work with than the others that I’ve tried. White polishes are often a struggle, glossy or matte so I’m fine with that. You need to work fast to avoid streaking and give the layers a bit more time to dry before adding the next one. Then I used a thin nail art brush (striper) and Hot Mess to create a waterfall effect. I believe this one was made to be paired with Mayonaisse but I’m not sure about that. Silver sparkles everywhere. Awesome! What do you think of matte white polishes? And how about this combo?
As you might have noticed I became a huge fan of the Russian brand El Corazon in a short time. It started the minute Maria, the founder of Hypnotic Polish, stocked them at her shop. I simply love everything about them. The uniquely shaped bottles which hold 16ml of product for a friendly price. And of course the fantastic formula. Most collections contain formaldehyde as a strengthening agent, but they are free of toluene and DBP. The one I’m showing you today is 5free 😀
Today I have another polish from their Matte Effect Collection to show you. Pink! This is two easy coats of number 167, no top coat:As you can see it’s not pure matte due to the shimmery particles. I’d call it a satin finish. This is very easy to work with. No streaking or patchiness. Just lovely! The triangles are from Hypnotic Polish which can be found here. What do you think of this hot pink matte polish?
Thanks for stopping by! :*
Are you familiar with the indie brand ManGlaze? No? Go check them out here! Matte nail polishes only in a variety of awesome colors with even more awesome labels. Sadly they don’t ship internationally BUT there are some great web shops that offer them. I’ve found both polishes that I’ll show you today at Norway Nails. Thanks Wenche for the fast shipping and lovely packaging! This is Matte Is Murder (matte black) and Fuck Off & Dye (matte pink). Both have a great formula and required two coats for full coverage. After trying these I’m totally hooked and need more ManGlaze in my life. Those names! Aren’t they just fan-freakin-tastic?! And can we take a moment to admire the awesome labels:AMAZEBALLS, right?! Do you need some ManGlaze in your life too? Any favorites?
More flakies? Yes! For this mani I used Fireworks Galaxy on my middle- and ring finger (sponged) and number 162 from the Matte and Shine Effect Collection by El Corazon on my index nail and pinky. This matte polish by El Corazon is fabulous. The formula is a breeze to work with and I just love the matte, satin like finish. It has lots and lots of blue particles… so pretty!
El Corazon polishes are available at their website and at Hypnotic Polish.
Fireworks Galaxy is available at my shop (along with the other flakie polishes from the Galaxy Collection).
My sweet sister got me this awesome black matte polish by Koh. It’s opaque in just one coat! For real! 🙂 I’ve seen lots of matte polishes that are streaky which I hate, so I was a bit restrained with my enthusiasm. Surprisingly there was no single sign of streaking! Whoohaah! I love it! I’ve created a ‘netting’ pattern with some top coat. I think this turned out pretty cool!
