FIFA World Cup 2014 nail art

*All hands in the air!*
Let’s kick some ass … uh ball… tonight! We’re playing against Costa Rica tonight. Because our boys did a fantastic job the last games I felt like I needed to create another mani to support them. wk2014-1I really need to practice my water marble skills so I thought I’d give it a go for this mani. Well, you can see why I felt the need to mention that I need more practice. Air bubbles… ugh! On the other hand… both nails turned out quite similar which is great. That counts for progress, right? Anyhow, as picky as I am about my own work, I’m quite pleased with the outcome. For my index and pinky I used two coats of my all time favorite orange polish: A Roll In The Hague by OPI. For the water marble I used all three polishes of the Hup Holland Hup Collection by Essence which were gifted to me by Soraya. Thanks so much sweetie!
I’ve never used Essence polishes for water marbling before and they work great! wk2014-2I’m having my fingers and toes crossed tonight for 2-1. What do you think? I’m so excited. Woo hoo! Go go go 😀

Catrice: Dirty Liana & I Got The Flower

I love a combo of green and purple. For this mani I used Dirty Liana and I Got The Flower, both by Catrice:catrice - dirty liana - i got the flowerI used the ‘dry marble’ technique to create the design on the tips of my nails. This is so easy to do! Just apply your base color(s) and let dry completely. Then add splots of the other color AND the base color on the tips of your nails and use a toothpick, needle or dotting tool to create the marble. One nail at a time! Seal with a top coat and you’re done 🙂
