First things first… I’m looking for you! Yes, I’d like to sport your manicure here on my blog. I’ve had another terrible nail break and am now down to nubbins *sad face*. So I figured I need to give them some time to grow back and in the meantime I’ll give them a bit extra care and treatment. If you’d like a place on my blog please let me know so that we can work on a guest post 😀
On to my Glitter mani for the ‘Oh Mon Dieu! It’s the Rather Awesome 31 Day Challenge Giveaway’:For the base I used Jewel by Koh. Then I created a glitter gradient with Gene Doll by piCture pOlish. I think this color combo turned out pretty.
Even when I didn’t completed every single day of this challenge (please bare with me), I’ve had super much fun joining! Thanks to Eeeek!, Crafty and Brijit for hosting this great event! I can’t wait to see who the lucky winners will be 😀
As soon as my nails have grown back to a (for me) acceptable length, I will be back full power with fresh mani’s and tutorials! In the mean time, please let me know if you’d like to create a guest post for me 😀
Todays theme of the Advent Calender Nail Challenge is glitter.
I think this is not really my cup of tea since I’ve discovered that only 10% (or so) from my stash are glitter polishes. That makes choosing a combination easier though 😀
I chose to use OPI’s Sparkle-cious and Goldeneye. On my accent nail I’ve added some silver and golden ‘mini cd’s’, which are very impractical but so shiny!
Also, my camera freaks out when trying to photograph everything that’s shiny! That’s why there’s only one picture this time.
<– Only 7 days to enter my giveaway!!!
The lovely Mommy loves nailpolish has created an easy way to see what the other girls made for this challenge (Inlinkz). You can also add your link there 😉
Thanks to Jamie at In The Gray Areas I now own two indie polishes by Nerd Lacquer called Largo and All of Time and Space.
First up, Largo: blue hexagon glitters and silver, gold and blue glitter all swimming in a gray/greenish base. This needed two coats to get opacity. And below you see All of Time and Space, a mint green shimmery base filled with silver and purple glitter and hexagon glitter. I’ve used two coats. A little bit of research has teached me that this polish is sold out. Such a shame!
