Another matte mani today! Here’s Bogeyman, a collab shade by Anna Gorelova and Dance Legend:What an a-w-e-s-o-m-e polish! Flakies everywhere in a dark brown base. Formula wise I thought this would be streaky, but not at all! This is two coats, no top coat. This polish came with its own adjustable cabochon ring which shows the flakies even better:Lovely, isn’t it?
I hope you’ve all had a lovely Easter weekend! Today I have another stunning polish from Indigo Bananas to show you. Meet Viridescens:Look at that awesome flakies! Flakies in a multi chrome base? Yes! This is one coat of Viridescens over black undies topped with top coat. This polish has a lovely pigmentation and the flakies spread out even and nicely. What do you think of this one?
Here’s a squishy combo for you guys:This is three thin coats of Ambrosia by Ninja Polish which is a pink jelly. I’ve added one coat of The Ood by Llarowe and topped it with top coat. I love how these turned out. I’ll definitely see me wearing this combo during Summer 🙂What do you think of this combo?:*
Leah Ann, the mastermind behind Colors by Llarowe has recently released a Dr. Who inspired Collection which consists of mostly flakie polishes. Woop woop! Today I have Weeping Angels to show you. This is a clear base packed with multi colored flakies and golden and purple shimmer. Lovely! For my base I created a saran wrap look with purple and black polishes. The purple polish that I used is Do You Have This Color In Stockholm? from the Nordic Collection by OPI. This is a blurple cream which was opaque in two coats. And the black polish that I used is Liquid Leather by China Glaze, my all time favorite black cream polish. After my base was completely dry I applied one easy coat of Weeping Angels and topped it with one coat of HK Girlby Glisten & Glow for a glossy long lasting finish. I’m so happy with how these turned out! What do you think? :*
More flakies? Yes! For this mani I used Fireworks Galaxy on my middle- and ring finger (sponged) and number 162from the Matte and Shine Effect Collection by El Corazon on my index nail and pinky. This matte polish by El Corazon is fabulous. The formula is a breeze to work with and I just love the matte, satin like finish. It has lots and lots of blue particles… so pretty! El Corazon polishes are available at their website and at Hypnotic Polish.
Fireworks Galaxy is available at my shop (along with the other flakie polishes from the Galaxy Collection).
I can’t get enough of color shifting polishes, can you? This is Boo from the Chameleon Collection by Dance Legend:This is two coats of Boo plus top coat.
For my accent nail I used Baby Boom Galaxy(sponged), which is available at my shop. And just because I love flakies I added just a little bit of Baby Boom Galaxy on the nail of my ring finger. See how you can use flakies in so many ways to create a variety of looks. Use a sponge for an opaque mind blowing in-your-face look or apply just one coat over your favorite base color. The flakies are buildable in several coats to desired coverage but I prefer using a sponge because that way you don’t have to apply multiple coats which could give a kind of thick finish. Does this make any sense? I hope so! Same goes for glitter polishes 😀
What do you think of Boo? And how do you feel about these ultra chameleon chrome flakies?
Dance Legend has teamed up again with the talented Anna Gorelova to create a new limited edition collection called HallOWLeen (see what they did with the name? Love it!).
And I did it again, I bought another green polish 😀 Take a look and you’ll see why:What an amazingly stunning color. I can’t get over it! And then… flakies! Yay! I can never say no to anything that consists flakies. Gotta love them.
So this is a jelly formula, so it is on the sheer side. But this is just two coats and I’m happy with how it turned out. What do you think? This polish is, along with the other two of this collection, available at Hypnotic Polish. Get it/them while you can. They’re LE you know… just sayin’ 😛
Whoop whoop! Holiday is here! As soon as I saw the announcement on piCture pOlish‘s Instagram account that this limited edition polish was in the making I knew I needed to get my hands on it. And here it is!Holiday is described as a scatter holo/flakie ‘special edition’ topper with individually numbered bottles. Perfect for the Holidays 😀
The formula is great. It glides on smoothly and gives an even coverage of the flakies and holographic sparkle. I used one coat over black undies:Continue reading →
