Are you ready for some major sparkle-ness? Take a look at Lucy by Esmaltes Da Kelly:So much sparkle, my camera had troubles capturing it. Such an awesome polish! I used two coats here plus two coats of top coat (these glitter bombs are glitter thirsty).
Esmaltes Da Kelly polishes are (among others) available at Llarowe and Color4Nails.
I’m back with another polish from Esmaltes Da Kelly 🙂 This is Sally:This one has a jelly base and is jam packed with glitter. The formula is on the thicker side but nothing problematic. I used two coats here. Due to the high amount of glitter this one is starving for top coat and almost completely ate up the first coat. For that reason I applied two coats of top coat. I’ve searched for other swatches before purchasing a few Esmaltes Da Kelly’s and as with Phoenix, shown here, this looks different on me than shown in other swatches. On me it’s more purple and less magenta. I don’t know if that’s my pale skin tone or a slight color variation in batches. Or it could be because I take my photo’s outdoors and I’ve seen photo’s made in light boxes. I dunno. I don’t mind this but I think it’s good to know.
Have a great day! :*
Hands in the air for a new to me indie brand: Esmaltes Da Kelly. The mastermind behind this indie brand is Kelly Cristina from Brazil. This brand got my attention the minute I saw Ladybug at Llarowe. That one is on my wishlist ever since. I hope it will be restocked anytime soon. I went ahead and ordered some other ones that looked o so gorgeous.
This is Phoenix:I can’t even begin to describe this polish. It’s described as a magenta base but I really can’t see that, at least not in my bottle. If I search for swatches I definitely see magenta. Of course that was the reason why I went for this one. Gotta love my pink/purple hue’s. Nevertheless this is a super pretty polish! I used three thin coats plus to coat here.
Another thing that I noticed… these polishes don’t contain stainless steel mixing balls. This one was settled when it arrived. I’ve let it sit upside down for a while and that ‘problem’ was solved. The other two polishes that I bought are more loaded with glitter which makes mixing harder without mixing balls. I just added two of my own so for me it isn’t a big issue but I can imagine that it’s a bit difficult to mix them without the mixing balls. All Esmaltes Da Kelly polishes have a black fabric ribbon on the cap. So cute!
Ps. If you spot Ladybug anywhere, please let me know! :*
You can find them at Llarowe, Color4Nails and DRK Nails.
