Today I have a textured polish to show you. Here’s Arianna from Zoya‘s PixieDust Collection:For some reason my photo’s made it look like the polish hasn’t dried completely, while it actually is thoroughly dry. Anyhow, what a lovely color! I think this is slightly less textured than the other two pixies from last years Fall release.
This is three thin coats with no top coat.
Hi there polished people!
Zoya‘s Jem was in my untried pile for so so long! I believe even over 3 years! I don’t know why to be honest. It’s such a beauty which was on my wishlist for quite some time. I think this was part of a swap that I did with Miss Holly Berries ages ago. Thanks a bunch girl!
Let’s take a look:In real life it’s slightly a darker purple than my photo’s show. My camera is sometimes having a hard time with capturing purple/blue hue’s. This is such a gorgeous shade! The shimmer is amazing. I applied two easy coats plus top coat here. I topped my accent nail with one coat of Baby Boom Galaxy and a matte top coat.
Ki by Zoya was sent to me by Holly when we did a swap a long time ago. Thanks sweetie! I can’t believe I haven’t posted about it earlier. It was on my wish list for a long time. Such a beautiful duo chrome! The first coat was sheer but with a second coat it’s fully opaque. I used a flakie polish by Born Pretty Store to create a gradient effect. These polishes by BPS don’t have a name. This is number #4.
I really like this combination! What do you think?
Speaking of flakies… have you seen the two new ultra chrome chameleon flakie polishes that are newly listed at the shop?
There are more flakie polishes in the making 😉
As promised here’s another PixieDust from Zoya. This is Noir:What a stunning rich color! This obviously isn’t black as the name suggests. I have not much to say about this one besides that I love it! I used two coats with no too coat for the photo’s. Click here to view my swatch of Oswin 😉
Have a great day! :*
You probably all know by now that my fave colors are red, purple, pink and blue. So when I saw photo’s of the three new PixieDust polishes by Zoya I just needed to have them.
Here’s two coats of Oswin, no top coat:
The formula is great and goes on smoothly despite the bigger glitter particles. Lovely!
I can hear you thinking… where are the other two, Noir and Arianna? Well, funny not so funny story… I swatched all three and uploaded the pics from my camera the day after. And guess what? I hate how the photo’s of the other two turned out. Just.. arghhh I can’t even explain it. So yes, I’ll make sure to take some proper pics when I wear them again.
Stay tuned for those 😉
To all my friends who are celebrating Halloween: Have a blast!
I’ll probably be watching a scary movie tonight 😀
For Spring 2014 Zoya added some more textured polishes to their Pixie Dust range. I picked up Lux which is described as a rose quartz. This has quite big holo hex glitter in it which makes it so sparkly! At first I thought that would result in an extremely gritty and lumpy finish. Yes, it’s more gritty than the other Pixie Dust shades but it’s definitely not lumpy. I used two thin coats for the pictures. Do you have polishes from the new Pixie Dust range? Which one is your favorite?
Thanks for stopping by!
Here’s an oldie, Fei Fei from Zoya‘s Diva Collection (2012). I love this for its ‘odd’ color. It’s a steel-isch blue with tons of sparkle. This is two coats plus top coat. I have nothing to complain about the formula. Although it is on the sheer side it builds nicely to an opaque finish in two/three coats.
