I hope you’ve had a great start of the week. Today I have Femme Fatale‘s Lantern Wasteto show you:Sophie keeps me surprising with the unique combinations of colors. The base of this one is a tad more grey than my photo above shows. What a lovely combo of the base color and flakies! The formula is nice and application was easy. I used three thin coats plus top coat. And guess what? I’ve been playing with my camera and got this bottle shot below:I could stare at macro shots all day every day. So mesmerizing 🙂
There are lots and lots of polishes on my never ending wishlist. Among many others I’ve been dying to have all (yes, all!) unicorn polishes by Lacquer Lust. And what better way to score my first with the amazing Summer Fest Collaboration Trio by Cirque, Serum No. 5 and Lacquer Lust?! Of course I needed to have it 🙂
The three polishes came in the cutest packaging with some candy included. No photo’s of that, sorry… I ate it all 🙂
On to the polishes… First up Untz Untz Untzing Unicornby Lacquer Lust:Can you see why I absolutely need to have all unicorn polishes? Amazing! This is three thin coats plus top coat.Next up is Plur by Serum No.5. We all know Serum No.5 is famous for their amazing glow in the dark polishes, right? This one is no exception. Sadly, I couldn’t get a proper glow in the dark photo to show the glow. But not to worry, head over to Emily’s blog for a glow shot 🙂This can be layered over white undies but I decided to try it on its own. Shown is three coats plus top coat.Lastly I have Kandi Flip to show you, Cirque‘s contribution to this trio:What a perfect color for Summer! The formula is lovely. I applied three thin coats plus top coat but I think you can get away with two more generous coats. This has some holographic particles running throughout which refuses to show up on camera 😦 What do you think of these? Any favorites?
Did you pick up any polishes of the Ultra Holos Collection from ILNP? The name says it all, holographic awesomeness all over the place! Here’s the pink one called Paige:Lovely, right? The holo effect is truly mesmerizing. The formula is great. I used two coats plus top coat for my photo’s. And even without sunlight it is gorgeous:Paige is, along with many other ILNP polishes, available at Hypnotic Polish. Check them out here.
Quite some time hast past since I did a swap with my friend Nailluminati. A few polishes are still sitting quietly in my untried box. One of them is Last Rat Standing by Crowstoes. Who said brown and grey are boring? This grey-isch brown has lots of fine multi colored shimmer running throughout. I used three thin coats for full opacity. Then I used MoYou Pro XL plate 19 and black stamping polish by Mundo de Unas for the stamping design. For my top coat I went with my all time favorite HK Girlby Glisten & Glow. And here’s a closer look:Have a great week ahead! :*
How about another stunning creation by Sophie, the mastermind behind Femme Fatale? Today I have Sideshow Sparklerto show you:First of all… my photo’s doesn’t show the true beauty of this polish. I applied one coat over a black base and topped it with top coat. This is opaque on it’s own in three coats though, which probably will show the true colors even better. It is a purple jelly packed with lots of different colored glitter and tiny flakies. There’s a lot going on in this one. Lovely! I will be sharing photo’s as soon as I’ve worn this beauty on it’s own 😉
Have you spotted Cirque‘s Vice Collection yet? Super bright, neon and holo are the keywords of this fantastic collection. There are five bright creme shades to choose from plus a holographic top coat. If I may say so myself I think I’ve been a good girl by picking just three out of the six (*patting myself on the shoulder*). I went with my fave colors, purple, pink and blue. But to be fair, if there also was a red one, I’d pick that one up too 🙂
Enough with the rambling… on to the polish! I created this water marble design with Nympho (pink), Lean (purple) and Miami-Dade(blue). I applied a white polish as my base to brighten up the colors. I re did the nail of my ring finger three times and eventually gave up and added some dots on the spots that didn’t turned out the way I wanted. Yes, water marbling can be a huge pain in the behind, not gonna lie. I do like how these turned out. I see myself using these polishes on a regular base. The formula of all three was great, at least for what I’ve experienced so far. The pink and purple dry a bit dull so make sure to apply a top coat for a glossy finish.
I’m back with another polish from Cirque. Dear Dahlia was on my wishlist for quite a while and when I saw it was sold out almost everywhere I needed to hunt it down before it was gone forever. This has a gorgeous green/gold shimmer. I’ve had a hard time capturing it on camera but you can see it better from the bottle shown above. The formula is jelly-like and required three coats for full coverage.
