Finally we can enjoy some sunbeams. I hope that it’s as sunny where you are as it is here. And although it isn’t Summer yet, I always feel the urge to wear bright polishes as soon as the first sunbeams make their appearance. So here’s a Summer-y nail art:For this many I used five different nail polishes, all by ANNY: What else (white) Indian sun (yellow) Scandalous lives of N.Y. (coral pink) Sunset dreaming (pink) Surfing crocodile (green)
For the design I used dotting tools and for the ‘leafs’ I used a small nail art brush to smudge the white and green. What do you think of these floral nails?
ANNY recently released a new collection called Celebrities Only. I picked up three of the six polishes and like to show you the first one: Private Party. This is a vampy red/purple hue that dries to a satin finish. The formula is great. I used two coats for the photo’s and added some golden triangle studs. I applied top coat on the nail of my ring finger only so that you can see how it looks without the satin finish.Have you spotted the Celebrities Only Collection yet? ANNY polishes are exclusively available at Douglas stores.
Attention purple lovers! I fell in love with this stunning polish called Royal Cupcake by ANNY. Two easy, smooth and super glossy coats here plus top coat. This has a stunning magenta shimmer running throughout. For some sparkle I’ve added one coat of Shake It Take It, also by ANNY. Love love love!
I believe Royal Cupcake is a limited edition polish. It came with a fun cupcake shaped Christmas ornament. If you’d like to add this gorgeous polish to your collection, look for a small clear pouch at the Douglas store. I believe there’s also a golden version.
I think I’ve found a lovely combination to wear during the Holidays 🙂
For my base color I used two coats of Project Fame from the LA Star Collection by ANNY, which has a velvet finish. So gorgeous! And what a great formula. It’s very pigmented and could be a one coater if you have shorter nails.
Then I added a vertical line with Mean & Green by MAC. I really need to try this over black and on it’s own. Such a lovely color shifting polish. I didn’t used top coat here:A weird hand pose below to get a better look at the color shifting properties of Mean & Green. What do you think of this combination? I think it turned out so pretty, not too in your face but it gives the base color just a little bit extra.
To all my friends who are celebrating the Holidays coming weekend: Have a blast!
Pshttt… I’m having a Black Friday Sale at the shop tomorrow which means you’ll receive 25% discount on everything! Details will be on the shop page and my social media tomorrow!
Have you ever seen a (sort of) white polish that isn’t streaky but is opaque in two coats? Naked Venus by ANNY is a very pale pink cream polish that has a perfect formula. I absolutely love it! It’s so clean and fresh and yet so feminine. This is two flawless coats of Naked Venus. I added a bit of Sexy Nails, also by ANNY, on the tips of my nails to give it a little bit of sparkle. I think this combination turned out so pretty and I’ll be definitely wearing it more often. What do you think about (off) white polishes?
ANNY recently added 3 new textured polishes to their Desert Glam Collection. The initial collection was released back in May last year. That collection features six textured polishes, all in mini size. Along with these three new shades they also re-released She’s Amazing (a personal favorite of mine), Rock Your Nails and After Dinner Show, all full sized! Huray! Let’s take a closer look at these three beauties.
All swatches show tow coats with no top coat. The pictures are -as usual- taken in in natural daylight, meaning outdoors.
Get You Kicks is a gorgeous magenta pink base packed with magenta and silver colored glitter and bigger silver glitter. Highway To Heaven is a blue hue packed with blue and silver glitter.American Dreamis a pale pink hue packed glitter in gold, pink and silver.
ANNY nail polishes are exclusively available at Douglas stores (€ 9,95, 15 ml).
Yesterday I showed you my blue nail art design made with three polishes of ANNY‘s Golden Roller Girls Collection. Today I like to show you my gradient mani that I made with two of the duo chrome shades of this collection:
This is a gradient with Hot To Handle and Wild At Heart(tips), both extremely shimmery duo chrome shades. The color shift isn’t very noticeable on the nails but that doesn’t make them less pretty. The first coat of these is a little sheer but a second coat results in full coverage. I really like that ANNY came up with three chrome polishes. It’s a nice addition to their collection.
Swatches of this collection and the previous textured collection are coming soon 🙂Thanks for stopping by! :*
ANNY‘s newest collection is called Golden Roller Girls and consists of three multi chrome shades, a blue shimmer and two blue creams. Here’s my nail art that I created with some polishes of this collection:The light blue is called Skinny Jeans. The ultra fine silver shimmer gives it a semi satin-isch look if worn without top coat. The formula is perfect and almost a one coater. The medium blue cream is called Jeans Calling and also has a great and smooth formula. And then there’s a deep dark blue which is called Denim On The Rocks. Again, great formula. I absolutely love the formula of the cream polishes from ANNY. I made the dots with Highway To Heaven, also by ANNY. This is a gorgeous light blue hue packed with silver glitter with a textured finish. This one is part of a previous collection which consists of three new textured polishes and three ‘recycled’ ones (full size instead of the previous mini’s).
I used nailvinyls to create the squares. Personally I prefer nailvinyls over striping tape because they are easier to remove with less risk to pull off the base color.
Lastly I topped it of with my new fave top coat by HK Girl, Glisten & Glow (before adding the dots!).
Swatches of this collection and the mentioned textured collection are coming soon 🙂You can find ANNY polishes exclusively at Douglas store’s. The nailvinyls are available here.
For the ‘vampy’ theme of the ‘The Never Ending Pile Challenge’ I picked Bloody Returnby ANNY and Sardonyx by Models Own:Bloody Return is a dark red crelly with a nice formula. I started with two coats and waited for it to dry completely. Then I used nailvinyls and added Sardonyx on the tips of my nails. I ended up liking the rubber-isch look of Bloody Return so I didn’t add top coat.
ANNY recently released their For Winners – L.A. Film Awards Collection:This collection is right up my alley. Lovely pinks and reds 😀 And there is a white cream in there too! I’m always looking for the perfect white cream with a good coverage and minimum streaking. What Else is a pure white cream. The formula is on the thin side but builds nice and smooth to an opaque finish in three thin coats. Perfect as undies for some nail art! Red Inspiration, a medium red cream with strong pink undertones. I love it! The formula is perfect. Shown here is two coats with no top coat!Save The Last Dance, a classic red cream. You can never go wrong with a good red cream. Also, you can never have enough red creams 😉 The formula is slightly thicker than Red Inspiration. This is two coats with no top coat:Dark Romance, a dark grey cream with hints of green and purple. It has a gorgeous purple shimmer running through out but sadly it doesn’t translate on the nails very well. This dries a little darker than how it looks in the bottle. Shown here is two coats with no top coat: If you’d like to see full swatches of the other three shades of this collection, please let me know 😉
