OPI – Coca Cola Collection

Have you seen that OPI has teamed up with Coca Cola to create their newest collection? I got all excited seeing promo pics. I was especially curious to the green/brown duo chrome. I feel like 90% of this collection is right up my alley. Red, pink, purple and duo chrome. Therefore I couldn’t resist on buying the entire 9 piece collection. Like that’s an excuse to buy more polish *ahum*… Let’s take a look!opi coca cola1opi - coca cola2Look at these beauties:opi - coca cola bottlesSwatches and review below! πŸ˜‰

First up Coca-Cola Red. What can I say? It’s the perfect coca-cola red with a great formula. This is two coats plus top coat.
I used one coat of the red/gold glitter topper on my accent nail. This is called Orange You Fantastic!. The glitter is swimming in a sheer orange/yellow base. I’m not a fan of this one. Maybe it’s the slightly colored base? I don’t know but to me it looks like the glitter has bleed color.Β opi - coca-cola red - orange you fantastic! - coca colaMy Signature Is ‘DC’, is a silver foil polish. Not sure whether to like this one or not. I used three thin coats with no top coat here. The formula is good. You can get away with two coats.Β opi - my signature is 'dc' - coca colaToday I Accomplished Zero is a black jelly base packed with reddish pink hex glitter in two sizes. The first coat was sheer but a second coat made it completely opaque. Shown is two coats plus top coat:opi - today i accomplished zero1 - coca colaGet Cherried Away instantly made me think of OPI’s Casino Royale. I love this kind of purple creams. The formula is great. This is two coats plus top coat:opi - get cherried away - coca colaHere’s a comparison of Get Cherried Away (index & ring) and Casino Royale (middle & pinky). Formula wise they’re pretty much the same. Color wise I’d say they’re in the same family but definitely not dupes. Get Cherried Away is more purple while Casino Royale has a more burgundy tone to it.Β opi get cherried away vs opi casino royaleYou’re So Vain-illa is a beige cream. Personally I prefer pink/peach or grey toned nude’s with my skin tone.Β It’s a nice shade though. I found it to be a little streaky which made me needed to apply three thin coats to have an opaque finish. With a top coat it looks okay:opi - you're so vanilla - coca colaA Grape Affair is a dark purple cream. Great color and formula. Two coats plus top coat:opi - a grape affair - coca colaMy favorite one of this collection is Green On The Runway (Who would have thought that :p). This is a green/brown duo chrome. I only used two coats plus top coat for the pics below πŸ™‚opi - green on the runway - coca colaOne more to show the color shift:opi - green on the runway1 - coca colaLastly a gorgeous light pink cream called Sorry I’m Fizzy Today. I used two and a half coat (yes, for real) plus top coat here:opi - sorry i'm fizzy today - coca colaPhew, that was a pic heavy post. Hope you liked it. Which one is your favorite?

  1. I was really excited when OPI announced they were doing a collaboration with Coca Cola, but the first pictures were really disappointing…
All very basic shades that have been done before, the only interesting ones are the green, orange and black with glitter.

But after seeing swatches, I know the orange and green are not for me.
I am going to pick up the black one however and I just love the light pink one, it almost looks coral and I just can’t get enough of that color!

The red… of course I want the red… I mean, we all know I have a problem when it comes to red polish, lol.
But I’m restraining myself as I discovered I have over 20 red OPI polishes, 5 of which look almost identical to this one…

  2. Hey!

Ik ben heel benieuwd hoe jullie hieraan komen in Nederland! Wil er zelf ook wat maar kan ze nergens vinden!
