OPI: Peace & Love & OPI – Fall 2013 San Francisco Collection

Hi my loves!

I’m happy to be back! My nails are still growing to the length as I used to have but here I am πŸ˜€ As said, I’m far behind with my swatching and nail art plans. So get ready to see some new but also some older polishes here.

Here’s OPI’s Peace & Love & OPI from the San Francisco Collection for Fall 2013:OPI Peace & Love & OPIThis is a gorgeous grey based duo chrome that shifts from blue to purple. The formula is perfect! I used two coats without top coat. It dries very quick. The picture above doesn’t do this polish justice. Not at all! The color shifting is hard to capture on camera. It’s way stronger than it shows here, trust me. But the number one reason why I picked this one is how it looks in the bottle. Looking at the bottle made my heart beats a little faster. No kidding… just look:OPI Peace & Love & OPI bottleI’ve read that this polish is very similar to Essie’s For The Twill Of It. From the look of the bottles they do seem like perfect dupes. Stay tuned for a comparison πŸ˜‰

I also picked up Muir Muir On The Wall and Alcatraz… Rocks (I blame you, Jemma with your fantastic swatch of Alcatraz… Rocks! You made me buy it! lol). Swatches are in progress!

Did you pick up any polishes from this collection? Which one(s)?

  1. I really liked this whole collection, but I feel like a lot of people didn’t. Some of the colors are kind of staple colors but there are some real gems in this large collection.

    • I think I’m one of the many people that aren’t very excited about the entire collection. I almost always love at least half of OPI’s collection but with this collection I just don’t feel it. I think it’s because the frosts that are part of it. I really don’t like frosty polishes.

      • I totally hear you on the frosty ones. They’re not as frosty as I feared. I feel like lately, the companies are calling frosts “shimmers” almost to trick us. lol I also hate frosts!!!!

  3. This is a pretty one – I wish my bottle had a little more duochrome to it – in the bottle it looks amazing but not so much on my nails..you captured good shots of what it SHOULD do – I am wondering if there are a couple different batches of this one out there?

  4. I’ve seen SO many polishes this fall that are a similar purple-silver duochrome, must be one of those fashion coincidences. I’m pretty tempted to buy a bottle!
