OPI: When Monkeys Fly – Oz The Great and Powerful

Today I have a swatch of When Monkeys Fly for you. It belongs to OPI’s Oz The Great and Powerful collection that was recently released. This is a clear base packed with different sized gold and holographic hexagonal glitter.opi when monkeys fly
I layered one coat of When Monkeys Fly over a opaque nude base (Nude by ANNY). The glitter spread easy. The large gold hex pieces are curved. Therefore you don’t get a smooth finish. I don’t mind that at all. I think I’m gonna see what happens when I sandwich this between a light cream or jelly…opi when monkeys fly1
What do you think of When Monkeys Fly? Did you pick up any of the shades of this collection?

  3. The taco glitter didn’t bother me as much as it bothered other people. I actually moved the glitter around and flipped it if it was curling too bad. It worked, but it was too much work for me. Still, I think it’s pretty.

  4. Curling glitter/jaggedy finishes do bother me so I think I’ll pass on this but it looks awesome how you paired it up there. If it weren’t all taco-y I’d be going out to buy it to layer over a nude cuz I LOVE how this looks!

    • 😀 Yeah, I know what you mean. I only got this one and the new Liquid Sand Shade. I didn’t go for the soft shades because I have OPI’s New York City Ballet Collection, which really disappointed me (extremely sheer). I think some of them are pretty similar to the ones in this collection. But then again, I saw a peachy polish that belongs to this collection which I think I would like…
